Pulp Fiction Rating

Why is the movie "Pulp Fiction", so high rated?
I did not understand this movie at all. I just acted like a bunch of random small stories. Although there were many funny moments, the rest was just random. I did not understand what I had to learn from this. Can someone help me to understand things like what the point of the clock was, why is that even in there? What about the mysterious briefcase? And why is it called Pulp Fiction? MOST important, what is the moral of the story?
like everyone has already said, to see and the folder is mcguffins. they are there to move the story along. Butch idea of risking his life for a clock is absurd, but you can see no real feeling that commitment to go after seeing considers even more absurd back story. I like the theory that folder contains Marcellus Wallace's soul. Or the theory, the diamonds from Reservoir Dogs. Pulp Fiction – glowing and exploitative stories meant to win lots of money, but not focused on "art". ie, overdoses, rape, pow camp degrading, cleanse Gore splashed all over a car. but the irony is that the film is more than just cheap Pulp Fiction … In contrast to the Most people responding, I think there is a very clear "moral" to the story. Remember to quote Jules keep bringing up: "The path of the righteous man is occupied in all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who on behalf of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's guardian and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. "The point is that at any given moment, could any man be the shepherd, the weak or tyranny evil men. At various places in the film, all characters trade roles. Marcellus Wallace is tyranny, when he goes after Butch and during the Mia story, but he is the weak the pawn shop. after Butch frees him, he will shepherd through to let Butch go free, and by exacting some well deserved justice on rapists. Vincent Vega is Mia shepherd in the story, but he is the tyranny of Butch history. Jules is the shepherd in the end, but he is certainly the tyranny, when he kills the "flock seagulls." The pair the diner is tyranny in the beginning, but the weak end. stories, Pulp Fiction dealing with stereotypes: the good guy, bad guy, the femme fatale, etc. And the film actually samples from other movies (like Deliverance) to show the stereotypes. But what the film says is that none exists in only one of these roles. All of us change hats depending on situation. It may seem like it, but none of the stories is coincidental. They are very specifically chosen to make the point.
