What was "The GIMP" in Pulp Fiction exactly?
I just watched Pulp Fiction for the first time and I was amazed. What a great films. But I did not quite understand who or what "gimp" in the basement was. What he does and why he was locked down in a basement? I think I know but I am not quite sure.
When you do S & M or bondage, a gimp is the submissive person. For example, a man who sees a dominatrix is a Gimp. They can often but not always wear a suit, as in the movie. He was there because he was playing the part in a sex game with the others before Butch and Wallace even showed up.
