Christians would go ape shit if I put a graphic novel / anime "borrow" stories from the Bible?
My graphic novel or anime deals about a cynical teenager, "Jesus" the same character, as is prophesied savior of the planet Essa. He was educated at ABAV (Angels) for the epic struggle against evil Baddon Apollyon (Satan). He has the powers of the three Kama (God), but must learn to control them in time to fight Baddon and his human apprentice Pres. Moore (Anti-Christ). After this saga Vol. 2 will include aliens and super-intelligent technology. I know it sounds something like "X", but it is a lot different when you read what I have so far. My friend told me that if I ever got published or presented on television here in the U.S. that Christians would eat me alive! What do you think?
Who cares it's done in almost all comics and manga Ex: Superman, Naruto. If you read them, you will find many similarities. So to answer your question, no, they will not. Do what you want, I highly doubt they would care. PS: You say borrowing against it plagiarism if your book is like the Bible, but with different names.
